As part of the IFE Conference 2026, representatives from various institutions attended the inaugural session of AIGEN's Faculty Development Committee on January 28, 2026. The event, held at the Learning Lab of the Institute for the Future of Education, was attended primarily by professors and researchers from Latin American institutions.
In this initial presentation, the committee met to analyze the need for teacher training in artificial intelligence, share experiences and best practices from different institutions, and define common strategies for training, certification, and technical support. They discussed learning models (microlearning, synchronous workshops, MOOCs), the creation of ethical policies and responsible use guidelines, and the possibility of making internal resources available regionally.
